Hey folks. Well, it's been a while since I posted anything about Sisters of Rapture The Modern Path Edition so I thought I'd post an update. The book is, like, 95% finished. Writing and editing is complete, and layout is mostly done. The delay is me. The final chapter of the book is a sample modern SoR temple set in Los Angeles, which features a collection of NPCs and their stats. Unfortunately, I had a hell of a time finding artists to help with this project and utterly failed to find anyone to do these NPC portraits. As such, I had to take them on myself. Since I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to this sort of thing, progress has been slow-going. Just getting this one part of the book finished has taken almost a year. I've been doing the basic book layout and design as I go, so at least I'm ahead of the game on that end. I have something like three portraits left to complete and once those are done and inserted into the layout, then it will be a matter of tweaking the design, creating the PDF, getting it approved by Lightning Source for Print-on-Demand, and making it available for purchase on DriveThruRPG and RPGNow. I'm not even going to try to hazard a guess as to when it will happen, but it WILL happen, eventually.
It's worth noting that our publisher, Fantastic Gallery, acquired the full rights to The Modern Path RPG earlier this year and is in the process of developing a new edition of the system. It's too late to start reworking SoR TMP at this point, so our current plan is to go ahead and release the TMP 2.0-compatible version as planned, and then begin work on a 3.0-compatible version. The 3.0 version will be the same book, just with converted stats, in much the same way the PFRPG edition was a reworking of the original OGL 3.5 edition. It will likely be sold separately, but FG may include a discount for those who have purchased the original book. Don't quote me on that, though... I believe that once TMP3 is released, TMP2 will go out of print. It's currently still available on DriveThruRPG from its original developer, Game Room Creations.

Other planned Sisters of Rapture supplements are less further along in their development. Beauties & Beasts, an SoR Bestiary, is suffering from severe delays due to its myriad developers simply disappearing for months on-end. I have a handful of monsters ready to go, but most of the key entries are still outstanding. With the momentum stalled on this one, it's possible that the entire project may get scrapped. My other planned SoR project, The Book of Divine Love, featuring a collection of love goddesses for use in SoR games, has barely gotten past the planning stage. What can I say? Developing roleplaying game supplements by yourself is kind of hard, especially when you're dedicated to other projects.
As an added surprise, I've put a bit of work into an "officially unofficial" version of the Sisters of Rapture for 5th Edition rules. While there is no OGL for 5th Edition, the nature of copyright means that third-party developers can, technically, develop games using the 5th Ed. rules as long as no mention of "D&D" or other intellectual property is made, or any D&D trade-dress used in the final product. WOtC can't copyright terms like "hit points" and "attack rolls," nor terms like "5th Edition" so we small-press developers are able to work through this particular loophole. Now, as of right now, I'm just playing around with ideas, and am not sure how or even IF I may release it to the public. It may be a full book, it may be just a free PDF download, it may never make it past my own 5th Edition game. I just don't know at this stage, but I'll keep you informed should anything interesting occur.
In the meantime, I hope you will continue to enjoy the art posted to this group as well as your own OGL 3.5 or PFRPG edition Sisters of Rapture characters and games. As always I encourage you to share your SoR characters with us, either in picture or story format.

Sisters of Rapture RPG Update (4-29-20)
Things continue to progress slowly for Sisters of Rapture 5e, but they are progressing. As of this writing I have maybe three pieces of interior art to complete, and then the cover. Since I've been doing layout as I go, once the art is finally complete and in place, the book will be ready for publication. My hope is to have it up on DriveThruRPG later this year, but all will depend on my other, more pressing workload and personal projects. I'm currently a little swamped and owe a lot of art to a lot of people, so time has been scarce, but the SoR is never far from my mind, so hopefully, I'll find some time to get those last pieces finishe
Sisters of Rapture RPG Update (12-19-18)
Hey everyone! Just a quick update on the status of the Sisters of Rapture 5E book... One of the only benefits of really taking my sweet-ass time on this thing is getting to know the 5th Edition system a little better and getting more experience with other third-party/DMsGuild products. Seeing what other people are doing with the system, as well as WOtC, has been very helpful in knowing how I should be approaching this material. As such, I have been able to spot a few weak points in my book, such as a lack of SoR-related backgrounds and some of the other stuff that makes 5E unique. As such, I've gone back into the
Sisters of Rapture RPG Update (3-8-18)
A month ago I announced that I was working on a new edition of Sisters of Rapture to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the book's initial release (the OGL 3.5 Edition). Oh, what a difference a month makes! A few days ago, Paizo Publishing announced the upcoming Pathfinder 2nd Edition. This throws my plans pretty much out the window, since a final version of the PF2 rules likely won't be available before 2019, well after the anniversary has passed. Now, I could just proceed as planned and release a version for PF1, but then I'd feel compelled to update it for PF2, and, frankly, I don't want to do that. I mean,
Sisters of Rapture RPG update (2-9-18)
Hey folks. Here's a quick update regarding the status of my various Sisters of Rapture RPG projects.
5E Edition
The writing and editing for the 5E version of the book has been complete for some time but I've had trouble deciding how I want to approach the art. After sitting on it for about a year, I've decided to do all the art myself. Although it's a short book, I'm still looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 13 new drawings, so this is pretty huge for me, but in the end, I think it'll be both more economical and better on my sanity. Finding artists for the TMP2 version was both difficult and emotionally taxing and, frankly, I jus
